    Hub

I believe that these hubs were made by Musselman; (though it could have been Mattatuck? I'm not sure about that). If it is a Musselman hub, I believe there is a way to date those, though I don't remember. It may be as simple as a date stamped on the hub shell.

1976 Mossberg MX very early BMX with truss rod forks SOLD

Re: 1976 Mossberg MX very early BMX with truss rod forks Very, very cool. Love those HD wheels. Looks like an H.P. Snyder made frame and fork (well, at least the actual fork part... I don't know anything about those cool trusses).

    1st Restoration Attempt

Are you sure it has to be restored? It's so awesome just the way it is! If you do, though, I'm sure you'll do it justice, and I look forward to seeing some progress...

    Never too late...

Beautiful work. You really wouldn't ever know it wasn't a stock frame, except for that it's just way too cool!

    One for a bud

Good to help a friend, and that looks sick so far. Keep it up.

Huffy: From Canti to BMX Straight Bar,...(Lots of Pics)

Nice work! Looks stock, but better! I really like this bike... sweet and simple. Gotta love a 26" bmx build.

    Opinions on Elgin girlie-to-boy....

That's perfect. I don't know why you doubted it. I like the skirts on there personally... a lot of people mod them to put them on, but yours were already there. Cool, original parts to keep on your deco bike, I think.

Would this be a Mega Pick?

Nice haul! I see a lot of cool stuff in there. Not sure what that unusual cap is... hopefully someone else will. I'm very curious myself. Pm sent about spoke nipples.

    Two 1970 motobecane mobylettes

Nice score. Mopeds seem to be pretty hot right now... could be a good flip if you go that route, or they are certainly awesome units if you keep them instead.

    1967 ramshorn stingray fastback

That paint is pretty nice by my standards.  Awesome find.

    The Powerheavy, or the Homebrew

I haven't seen the coaster brake wheels yet, but in the meantime I got my brake cables on and did some trail riding with this beast. It really is a beast. It tears along well going downhill... going uphill is a different story. You're looking at 55 pounds of Klunking glory... So until...

    Colson gallery...

Yeah, the bullnose cruisers have a tank which extends a wee bit beyond the head tube. The head tube, if I am not mistaken, has two special holes (I guess the tank is somehow fixed up there), but otherwise I think the frames are the same. I think. That's an awesome bike you've got there. I had a...

    Fathers Day...

I love it. Looks super comfortable... and I also dig the steel blue/gray color!

So what do I have here?

Looks like a tornado to me, too. Didn't some spitfires use this frame also though? Either way, I love these old double tube straightbar frames! Oh, and nice Worksman.

Mattels and Elgins and Roadmasters oh my

I think the chrome guard could be period, and may actually be correct; I couldn't tell you who made it or what manufacturers used them on bikes (if any did). It could also be a generic replacement, somewhat like a Wald. Some bikes may have come stock with it, I'm just not certain. I think the...

Wow, thanks, I appreciate that a ton. (And I will keep that in mind!)
