~?What Else Do You Collect ?~

I didn't know Bellflower was unknown. I thought it was big on the indy film scene.

Dual Delta lights - I need another opinion

NOPE... the Elgin lights are nice.:41: Just kidding, they're both nice, but the Elgins look 100x better in style, finish, and overall appearance. And yeah, they are much older than the Murray lights by at least 20yrs, which may be influencing my evaluation.

    Game changer in welding?

You were miles from anything... except for 2 car batteries, jumper cables, and a welding rod. I think those are the 3 main components in Chuck Norris' beard trimmer.

    Game changer in welding?

While the energy consumption is considered less due to the short burst length, since it is resistance welding, the current required to bond two different alloys on the molecular level is going to be quite high. This may be an alternative for vehicle manufacturing, etc, as mentioned. However, for...

    any shooters in the group??

I have a stainless Taurus 9mm and a Bersa 380. I have had the Taurus for about 14-15 years and the Bersa for maybe 6 years. I also have a Mossberg 12ga sawed-off with a pistol grip. It's an ex-police gun and still has the attachment that locked to the dash. It's cut to 1/8" above the legal limit...

Nice video about hot-rodding your CB Hub for klunking duty...

I have wondered before if there were a way to provide grease to the inner shell. Might try chamfering as well.

    Stingray Prices Soar Overnight.

In this case, you may be right. I'd estimate the box to be worth about $3 to ship another bike in. I'd put the bike that's in the box at around $2-$2.50. Maybe $2.85 to the right buyer

    Shelby Eagle info?

Cool, thanks. I may just use it for a cheap build then. Seems it has no value as it sits. The badge is probably worth more than the rest of the bike. Any idea if the rack is Hawthorne or what?

    Do bent springers suck?

I used to do lowrider conversions and custom builds for customers a lot around 1998-2000. We had an account with Aztlan, and we were actually an Aztlan dealer for a while, and stocked these forks. I did not enjoy the ride and neither did the customers. But they looked cool, and on 20" bikes if...

    Barn Find

Columbia Mach series bikes are really cool. I have owned a few. I've seen them range in price based on condition. Anywhere from $50 for beat up rusty ones, $200-$300 for middle of the road, and $500+ for really nice ones. They were made in bright green and orange. There were several versions...

    * Pre war Schwinn & Old Westfield *

I got rid of my old Schwinn stuff, I'll check out the basement in case. But that Westfield looks awesome

PRO MEMBERSHIP UPDATE - PLEASE READ

I know this would be wildly unpopular, but I'd be cool with a small annual fee for every member to join the site. Like $1. That helps pay for the photos, and keeps out spam and robots. But then I guess it would get difficult for those without paypal, and then you'd have fees. But it might also...

    Shelby Eagle info?

I've got this 26" postwar (I think) Shelby Eagle. At least that's what the badge says. It's been painted and repainted 3 shades of red. I don't care much for the bike as it sits, but the rack and guard are cool. I'm think of ratting it out but curious about year and if the parts have any value...

    Balloon tire Empire bicycle??

Interesting bike. Seat is likely worth $100. Repro pedals, but everything else looks good. Too bad it got away. Definitely a cool ride

    Overpriced?? I think so.

I think $25 was a high offer as well. The frame is the only good thing. I personally don't care for cantis, and sell the older frames in good shape for $10-$20 each all of the time, just to help people have a good base for a rat build. But that is the dual top bar so it might be worth more...

new product on an old idea

A few points in contrast to the video: 1) Bicycles are not the silent murderers of children 2)Joker spokes will not allow cars to see your child 3)Nothing will allow a car to see your child; cars can't see, only the occupants can

    Clean crusty bearings?

I spray some cheap Walmart brand foaming degreaser. If they are bad let them soak. Then just rinse them off with hot water while using hands or a toothbrush to get the junk off. Sometimes I spray them off with brake cleaner and let them dry. Grease and install.

    Pedal Lock

So are you pedaling around on two giant padlocks? I just like a simple cloth-covered cable lock. Mine is fairly classic looking in brown cloth and was on clearance for $2.96 at walmart. It seems tough and doesn't stand out too bad on a vintage cruiser

bicycle"hoarding" have you been hit by the epidemic please share

I have a ton of bikes and bike stuff. Not sure if I'm a hoarder though. This was what came home one day a few years ago and I think a lot of it is gone now. But other stuff has shown up as well.
