    BEN HUR BIKE?

I read somewhere they were a manufacturer at one time with that name. I have seen a few with the name but they were Murray bikes with Ben-Hur badge on it like the one in the ID section. Link below. viewtopic.php?f=62&t=75932&p=738376#p738376

    ROLLBACK ALERT - HUFFY REGATTA 3 SPEED - $149

It is aluminum & steel parts with the steel frame. I think the rear wheel is the heavy part. Although I don't have a full scale I used my normal scale with the rear on the scale with the front in the air it was below 40 around 35lbs. The welds on mine are good on the frame & fork. The welds for...

I got mine last month for $99.00 in store at one of the Wal-Mart's near me and it's the same price a few days ago. Winter Haven FL near downtown. It shifts & rides great by the way.

Cool although I wonder about the seat tube being cut & done like that. The dropouts show it's an AMF.

Everyone has done some cool work. 8) Sorry to derail the thread from the front forks but has anyone ever done a springer for the rear? Because I have the arms for a Schwinn style fork but I want to adapt it for the rear wheel of my 68 Stingray.

Re: Vintage Bicycle Ride in Florida this Saturday at 5 p.m. I hope it works out great with no rain. If I drove a car instead of only riding bikes it would be cool to go.

    Cape Cod Rat Rod !

The sprocket which looks original makes it a Murray made bike so that is an American bike. Also most of the other Countries bikes used 3 piece cranks while we used a 1 piece.

    Got this Western Flyer today...

Definitely 50's made by Murray and yes the serial number would help date it. There some here with Western Auto catalogs to help out.
