Socal, just noticed your in Encinitas. I work at the VW dealer there. What bike shops would you recommend around there. I've had bad experience at the shop by trader Joe's.

Socal jack, I hear you on the food truck issue. It was taking 45minutes to get burgers, no joke or exaggeration either. Last years food trucks and stands were a lot faster. It was fun though.

Just got back from tour de fat and we had a good time. Got a few items for my build. One is a TDF bicycle plate and the second item was a set of sweet custom made New Belgium beer valve caps that Blackwell hooked me up with. These caps are nicely built and look great on my Indian build, thanks...

Blackwell, you can't go wrong with your beer bike. That thing was a hit last year and pretty sure it will be again this year. My wife and 2 year old will be with me this year so I'll be spending more time outside the beer garden. Hopefully we can get a good seat outside by the yo-yo show fence...

Most of Felts cruisers are limited to a year or two and then they change the colors on the bikes and call them something else. Even some of their so called "Limited" bikes where made in a few thousand. I always thought it was interesting how their limited models only have, for example, "#200"...

This is a really old post, but Its worth mentioning that Jason Cruz was a big part of designing this bike. Only someone with hot rod experience could have designed this bike, not the paper pushers (No offense to office employees :mrgreen: ). Here is more info about this guy...

I didn't like them at first, but they started to grow on me after a while. They bend easily though.

The honey saddles look awesome when new, but don't expect for it to stay that color forever. They will get a little darker and browner in color with use and when you add the Brooks Proofide. share some pics of your new ride.

Last year was cool, so im in this year. I believe L.A. was skipped this time so we should see a bigger crowd this year which should be even better.

I'll be honest, that 7 speed looks a little intimidating to mess with. Someone with more experience will chime In and help soon...I hope. :?

I might have all the components to build that bike for you for half the price. I'll even hand make a placard that states "Hand Built Limited to 1" to show authenticity, like felt states on their site. :mrgreen:

Please excuse my ignorance, but wouldn't the arm for the shifter cable get in the way of the deep dish cog? Took some pics and it looks like it would at least rub on the cable. I guess someone can try it out.

I'm with CCR on this one. You can also use some fine grit sand paper and remove most logos. I know its extra work, but your end result will be how you like it.
