    Bendix stick shifter question...

I'm actually looking at a couple, the main one I like is a Simplex, top tube mount. 5 speed is like $20 and the 3 speed is like $45. They both look exactly alike, baseball diamond shaped housing and cable tube running off the back... if that helps at all?

    Bendix stick shifter question...

Well it is for a cruiser bike so I don't plan on slamming the gears on a quarter mile drag race;)

    Bendix stick shifter question...

I've been looking at some Bendix stick shifters, I'd like to use with a Nexxus 3 speed hub. What I'm finding are the 5 speed shifters are a bit more plentiful (and even cheaper!) for some reason. My question is two part, first are the 3 and 5 speed shifters the same with just a decal change or...

Hey Cali members... what's up with SB92???

I've been seeing a lot of stuff on FB pages regarding this Senate Bill 92 (?), making helmets and Hi-Vis vests mandatory for cyclists of all ages. Now I read the bill but didn't see anything regarding the requirement of bicycle safety gear (anybody got a bill section number?)... of course I...

Workman frame build possibilty... Now "Workman RS"! All but Fini!

Yeah when I was looking all the Ebay SAKER's came with the Euro/American BB... no American cup! Next cheapest would probably be the Redline that Niagara sells.

Workman frame build possibilty... Now "Workman RS"! All but Fini!

Niagara Cycles wouldn't ship overseas or you haven't tried them yet? They shipped stuff to me in Kuwait, but that was an APO address, but there were a lot that wouldn't even ship to an APO address...

Do you wear your bike parts?

Yeah that's all fine and well, but I'm more preferential to shinny latex... can't find it on prewar bikes! Although I bet you could make some wicked shorts out of that Schwinn metal flake 'naner seat material! BTW, cool belt... gotta kenda knobby that's not in use.

    my sport-delivery

All around super nice package! From the frame paint job to the fab work just awesome. Looks to have nice klunker lines too, put some knobbies on it and take that baby out truffle hunting! (Of course from what I understand truffle hunting could put you on a titanium frame! $$$)

Higgins Hot Rod Cruiser! Pics update...

So this week's been interesting to say the least, bought a 3G Chopper, which under no other circumstances would I have given it a second look (wiser now, part out was worth it!)... and "Chopped" it up:eek:! Traded for a really cool frame (in case anybody was wondering where Kingfish's Higgins...

Workman frame build possibilty... Now "Workman RS"! All but Fini!

Well I just measured it with my handy dandy Harbor Freight digi-calipers... 33.3mm, give or take. I was originally going to go the Surley route but the costs out weighed the benefits. Once I got the Worksman forks powder coated to match the frame I didn't regret it a bit. I'd be the wrong guy...

Biff Burgers Show & Swap Meet, St. Pete, FL 3/1/15

Apparently this is a new event, so not a lot of info... Something to hold us Florida Gulf Coast types over until the Dunedin show. I'll update info as it's obtained:

    Old spoke question...

The stretching of the spokes is kind'a to the root of my original question. I mean I realize not building a wheel that's gonna end up doing a TT, or run at any pro level event, but I was still concerned from a safety perspective... last thing I wanna do is ride over a 6" curb and have the whole...

    WBO - "Open Wound"

Well to be perfectly honest my heart hadn't been used as a hacky sack for a few years now (well maybe not recently, but she really kicked it through the uprights!), but the quippy little line will make sense when the design concept elements begins to materialize. For the most part, on the...

    Old spoke question...

"Cman", I've ordered spokes from them before14g 270mm, they don't carry the longer pre 50's nipples. What I'm looking for are 3/4" brass nipples, thus the longer threaded portion on he spokes... cost effectively! "Endlesschain", Yea the spokes I'm using are free of cracks or fractures. I was...

    WBO - "Open Wound"

I'm in! This build will be dedicated to every guy who's had his heart ripped from his chest an used as a hacky sack by some demonic broad... Well at least that's what I'm going for at this timeo_O The name will become apparent as it progresses, here the start pieces, the rake unfortunately won't...

    Old spoke question...

In the process of building the wheels for the G519 clone, Now there does not appear to be an affordable source for the brass 3/4" nipples (14 gauge) or affordable double butted spoke in 10 5/8" (14 gauge as well)... So, I've been trying to recycle the old spokes and nipples from the various...
