    Springers...

When it comes to the traditional springer fork, are some better than others? I see some sold by felt, Electra etc. that are much more expensive than the ones sold by low rider places. Is there a quality difference? Do you get what you pay for? Which ones do you like, and why? Thanks oct.

    A tall build...

Welded the rear stays on this afternoon... Just need to cut out some rear dropouts and weld them on... Then I will reassemble for a dry run... Hopefully tomorrow, but it's been raining here in Maine today, so we'll see... If the test ride goes good, then I will need to disassemble for...

    Here is something I made...

It rides and steers nice... The one issue I had with it, was where the bottom bracket/pedals ended up. The seat tube should have been leaned back more. The head tube should have had more rake. All the bikes I build/built, are done by eye. I cut, grind, bend and weld everything in my driveway...

    A tall build...

Worked on this a bit today... These pieces will be the rear stays... They'll get welded onto the frame kind of like this: Welded these tubes in... Here's how it sits now... Still need to weld on the stays, and figure out my rear dropouts... Then test ride... october

looking into getting a welder? need help

$100 dollars towards a crappy welder, could be $100 dollars towards a great quality welder... I think you'll be happier if you were to wait, and save up the rest of the money, and buy a nice welder. It will only add to your frustration if you try to learn on subpar equipment. A Lincoln 140 is...

    A tall build...

That milk crate is approx. 10 1/2 inches off the ground. The tube coming off the bottom of the bottom bracket is 22". I'm figuring that it's the equivalent of a frame on top of frame... The seat will be maybe 5 - 5 1/2 feet off the ground... I'll measure it when it's done to get a proper...

    A tall build...

I just started a tall build, using a dump cruiser that was stashed behind my shed. After some cutting and grinding, ended up with this... Started piecing it together... You can kind of see where this is heading... october

    Here is something I made...

I don't know if I had already posted this before, but this is a bike I built from scratch. I built it a few years ago, for a friend's daughter. The head tube and bottom bracket shell were donated from another bike, and I built the rest. It was painted with rustoleum rattle cans... october

Also, If you we're to use a bottom bracket shell for a one piece crank, You would have the option to run a one piece crank, or a three piece set up with one of the adapters... Oct
