1959 Edsel Ranger -- mild custom

That thing is sweet! A buddy had a front clip from an Edsel on his 59 Ranchero. We called it the Edselero. Your can get clear bullets for your backup lights, I think Mooneyes sells them. Also, that thing is begging for some Bellflower tips!

BIKES DIRECT GRAVITY QUIGLEY FULL SUSPENSION FAT BIKE

I know that one of the guys rides hard, but I don't think the other does anything too crazy. Here is the thread: http://forums.mtbr.com/fat-bikes/gravity-quigley-full-suspension-fat-bike-964412-post11922298.html#post11922298

BIKES DIRECT GRAVITY QUIGLEY FULL SUSPENSION FAT BIKE

Cool pic! Just a word of caution: there are 2 of these on MTBR. The rear swing arm on BOTH of them have broken at the same weld. I suggest checking it after every ride, or maybe getting your money back. Just looking out....

BIKES DIRECT GRAVITY QUIGLEY FULL SUSPENSION FAT BIKE

Keep an eye on the rear triangle. A guy on MTBR broke his frame already.

    Surprise Makeover

My buddy Jeff recently bought a Gravity Monster Pro from BikesDirect.com. He really likes it, but hated the color and wanted to upgrade it a bit. So his wife and I decided to surprise him with a bike makeover! She bought him a new Surly Bud 4.8" front tire, leather grips, a new Brooks B17...

Check out these $150 shipped Fatbike frames!

How thick is the rear dropout? You may want to do a shim before you grind a channel in the frame. Only issue I can see withh a shim is stressing the frame, but I don't think 2mm would be too bad.

    This Build is INTENSE!

I took this bike for about an 8 mile ride today on mostly single track. It rides OK, but not great. Its too tall, and it feels like the head angle is too steep. So the plan is to make another rear end that will lower the bottom bracket a couple inches. This will also slacken the front end.

    This Build is INTENSE!

Ya, thats true. But this BB is a standard square taper that can be had for about $14 online.

    This Build is INTENSE!

Got the bike mostly done last night. Rear Triangle: Clearance: Chainline: BIKE: SO, what makes this bike special apart from looking cool? It uses a standard MTB crank and bottom bracket! The BB is a 68x127.5, it has a single front ring, in the outer position on the...

    This Build is INTENSE!

Ya, it's relativly short. Hopefully the shortness mixed with the 66 degree head angle will make up for the high bottom bracket.

    This Build is INTENSE!

I didn't have a whole lot of time this weekend, but I got some work done. PICS: Next step is lots of welding, grinding, sanding, filing, etc.....

    This Build is INTENSE!

    Work Gloves

Last night I was working on my Intense project and had a cut off wheel come apart on me. It cut my hand up pretty good. Of course I didn't have any gloves on, like an ...... What gloves do you guys wear when working in the garage? I have a set of heavy leather ones that are good for welding...

    This Build is INTENSE!

It's not ready to weigh, but I'm gonna guess at 45 lbs when it's done.

    This Build is INTENSE!

Got a bit of work done on the chain stays last night. They are going to have several bends in them so that they can clear the narrow cranks, and still have room for a 203mm rotor and 190mm rear spacing. I left them long until i can figure out rear travel, and dropouts. Im taking this build a...

    This Build is INTENSE!
