bought this from ** cough** cough** walmart ..... and thier assemblers really messed it up - the head tube bearing were dry as a bone and dammaged due to being installed wrong , as were the crank bearings - had to rebuild a new bike before i could ride it - walmart said " oh well" and hung up on...

i like to see the bicycles back on thier feet and useful again - make sense ?

when i tried to tighten it down - it was still at an angle ,ver noticable , and the bearing didnt seat properly and moisture, ect could get in there , not smooth at all

ok - ive got a major problem - been re-doing a 1960 huffy belair - and the front forks were loose and when i tried to tighten them i noticed the top bearing nut, the one that had the cone on bottom for the bearing , was lopsided - so i disassembled the head tube, removed the bearings and on...

well..... the top bearing is f'd up... the assembler must have tightened it to tight (obviously) and i think it may have messed up the cup.... good thing i have spares .... swapped the handlebars but the grips fought me for a long time ....had to stick factory stem back on there for now as...

i actually looked at the admiral before i bought my millennial

If u haven't yet I'd highly suggest disassembling them and repacking all the bearings - just saying

This seat looks great - but sucks to sit on - bars are wrong color and not a good fit - I want and adjustable stem - like on a comfort bike - looking at a better set of pedals as well - these are junky plastic - look ok but can't depend on them

will find out tomorow - when the teardown and rebuild begins ---- wierd saying re-build on a new bike , LOL - but thats what needs to happen here....plans to - upgrade the handlebars and grips , true the wheels, lube the crud out of all bearing surfaces and cups , teflon the chain, adda few...
