    Drag Queen

Haha, fooled me. Gonna do more this Sunday (working 2 jobs to pay the bills leaves little time for building :? :? ), so updates Sunday night or Monday.

    Music for wrenching

Gotta say that I'm a huge fan of new wave and synth pop. Gimme some Devo, Oingo Boingo, Gary Numan, Joy Division, or the Inspiral Carpets, but my music tastes are very eclectic, so depending on what the weather/my mood/the vibe I want to achieve for my bike I could be listening to Jazz (Miles...

    Drag Queen

Just looked up Dr Tank's build thread for that one, and you are correct, it is the same paint. The cream was a classy secondary colour on Tybee Siren, and his pinstriping is fantastic. He is a true artist.

Darn, already used the tremclad for the primer. Hope I have better luck as I really don't want to strip her down again and start over.

It's been hot enough here for a few girly cocktails on the patio..... maybe a Blue Hawaiian, who knows lol. I'm diggin the colour too, and my wife just pointed out to me that it is the same colour as her brand new $4 flip flops. But it's not done with the paint yet, and I have something special...

New Age Hawthorne -- LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION

Re: New Age Hawthorne FIRST MOCK UP Looks really sleek and fast. Diggin those bars.

So with working at the bar this weekend, I didn't get much done, but I did get the frame primered and the first colour coat applied. With the weather forecast of sunshine and hot weather for the next week or so, I hope to get some real work done. Anyways, here are the pics Bare frame...

    1969 MURRAY Eliminator mark II

Beauty bike. That will sell quick as they are very desirable, and any muscle bike connoisseur with some extra cash will certainly grab it up, but if you should decide to part it out, I would love the bars. ( I'll just have to explain to my wife that I need them :D )

New Age Hawthorne -- LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION

Re: New Age Hawthorne Great bike to start with. Can't wait to see what you do with it. Makes me think of Astronaut Jones from SNL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNrrhd4l9og

I think so too, but I've had this paint idea in my head for quite some time, so I have to at least giv'er a shot, otherwise I won't be sure that it'll work :)

    Drag Queen

Thanks very much for the advice. I plan to follow it, and if I don't, I'm sure my beautiful wife will remind me lol.

    Drag Queen

First off, I'd like to say how much I enjoyed watching last year's build off, and was sad that I was part way through my build when I discovered RRB, so could not enter that build, and didn't have ideas/parts to finish another. Those awesome builds really inspired me to take part this year, and...

    Gooseneck stem stuck in forks

    Success! Thanks again cman!

    Gooseneck stem stuck in forks

Tried that when everything was stuck, but haven't tried it since I got the headset loose, so I will give it a shot. Thanks cman

    Gooseneck stem stuck in forks

So I am getting my bike ready for RRBO8, and decided to at least strip my build bike down to the frame and realized the forks and stem were stuck. The whole headset was frozen solid, but after soaking the whole thing in PB Blaster for a week, I finally got the headset to loosen and turn all the...

One more for the bmx people ;)

Beauty find! Love the Quadangle and the Landing Gear forks. I would even settle for the recent repops, but even they are super pricey in my hood.

Muscle bike parts parking brake screamer?

Super small pic, but the springer is either off a Sears Screamer or Murray Eliminator, from what I can tell.

POST PHOTOS HERE FOR FACEBOOK "BIKE OF THE DAY!"

Re: POST PHOTOS HERE FOR THE GALLERY PAGE This is the first bike I built. I started with a Sears Rail frame, used a Sears Screamer rat trap springer fork, and spray bombed it with green metal flake auto paint. Threw on some Wacky Wheels on the back and went from there. It's not a comfy ride...

    20 inch Raleigh Tracker

Just picked this one up when a friend who knows that I like banana/muscle bikes gave me a call. Not really in my wheel house, but I think I found my forks for RRBO8, and I think the funky frame could make for a cool BMX style build.

    Rusty gold!

Glad to see a cool 20inch frame going into the buildoff. Love the Flying Wedge, and can't wait to see what you do with it. :D
