    HAZAREA

Well it has been awhile since my last project post. Here is my latest proof of insanity, HAZAREA. It all started one community dumpster day when I fished out a set of mtn bike wheels. The previous owner didn't want me to take them as the rims were trashed, and they were, but I managed to...

    Just another Fixie

The bike is posted on Fixed Gear Gallery, http://fixedgeargallery.com/2008/mar/1/AlexN.htm You can find the owner's email address there, you can direct your questions to him. The "board tracker" look found here is a copy of classic motorcycles and I wanted a real bicycle board tracker...

    Just another Fixie

The handlebar is mounted to the fork crown. I don't know how the steer tube is attached, something recessed for aerodynamics I guess.

    Schwinn-approved single speed

A BMX freewheel will fit, all freewheels share the same thread pitch, unless it is some odd French threading....

    Just another Fixie

OK, maybe not, but it reminds me of some of the bikes found here. Inspired anyone? Soviet built Takhion, Boards only. Found on FixedGearGallery.com, http://fixedgeargallery.com/2008/mar/1/AlexN.htm

    Board Track Project Bikes

As found on Sheldon Brown's site; http://www.sheldonbrown.com/gloss_sp-ss.html#spoon Spoon Brake The earliest type of bicycle brake consisted of a lever which pushed a metal shoe against the tread of the tire. The part that pressed on the tire was shaped like a flat spoon, hence the name...

How to build a low-buck Fixie

Piss off the hippsters with a fixed cruiser! I like them... This was my first successful fixed build. Geared low with fat tires it was a blast to ride, on and off road. It has since been built up as my cargo cruiser, and I converted a diamond frame to ride fixed.

    MoleMan's Attempt

I got it running, with brakes and everything. I also peeled off the stickers, a real improvement, and a weight savings to! Sorry for the night pics, but I think they came out OK.

    MoleMan's Attempt

I hope it isn't to late to join in. I found this RoadMaster abandoned near my work. I love the frame, tank that it is, so I got permission to drag it home and immediately set to stripping all the heavy components off of it. Sorry, no pics of that. Off came the suspension forks, the triple...

I left my Fixie at work...

I have no idea, there isn't a stamp, number, decal or head badge when I got the frame. There used to be a head badge, there is the remnants of two rivets, horizontally across the head tube. The general thinking is that it is some Japanese make, maybe a Centurion.

I left my Fixie at work...

So I had to tow it home! Got home ok, though the cross winds were murder. The fixie that came together when I shook the parts bin. By far the lightest bike in my shed, though compared to the X-cruiser that isn't saying much.

    Xtracycle on the Kona

my xtracycle Well I retired my RatRod fixed gear cruiser, and moved my xtracycle kit from the mountain bike to the cruiser. What an improvement, lower, handles better, and I used these cool unbreakable wheels!

    RRBBO - Walmart mountain bike

Well I had some time to throw parts together, dinging new paint and getting grease fingerprints all over. I can't wait to get it filthy and scratched up!

    RRBBO - Walmart mountain bike

Finally an update! Finally an update! I finally found the time to grind off the bits that I didn't need, cable hangers, front brakes etceteras, take off the stickers and start paint! While I love to cut, grind and bolt stuff together, finishing has always frustrated me. So here it is in...

    RRBBO - Walmart mountain bike

Whoa! Thanks for all the comments guys, I was just kicking myself for not getting more done on this project. I do plan on painting the bike, hope you like it. I am thinking about the bloodshot eyeball to fill the bb shell, it gives a neat 60's hot rod vibe. I have a couple of...

    RRBBO - 60's Western Flyer

Interesting, I like. If I thought of this I think I would have cut the fins first, then cut the tank out. Just my $0.02

RRBBO -Rat Rod Biker Build Off

Of course Outrage, I love fixed gears because they are hot rod bikes, and the best are made with used no-name parts and have the snot ridden out of them. My cruiser is a fixed gear, and I love it.
