    Kentucky jewel of the day

That is a hard to pass up price at $65 for brand new Cranbrooks. They do make nice pats supply, canvas for a custom bike, or to just ride as is. I have one of the slightly older blue and white Cranbrooks that came to me for free via Craigslist last year. All I did was lube and adjust everything...

    2-speed/3-speed hub on a 110mm frame?

In my very limited experience I've been able to slip one side of a Nexus 3 in the drop out and spread the other side just enough by hand to slip it in. Surely not the best method but on steel frames it has worked fine for me with 3 speed hubs with 120mm or so spacing.

Can anyone tell me anything(else) about this Adler?

That is truly a awesome German bike. Love the front sprocket. It and so many of the other parts look art deco to me. It even has a Bosch headlight.

My Little GTO and Sloppy 4ths or 5ths.....

WOW! It sure did turn out super nice.

    Shimano 333 3-speed hub issue

All of us have done similar things like that then felt terrible about the aftermath. We live and learn and Lord knows I have messed many items up learning. Glad to hear you worked out a solution. Did you get the book via Amazon or someplace else?

Need a favor from someone with a 2013 Schwinn Heavy-Duti

I'm running an old Huffy 10 speed 46T outer ring and crank on mine and don't own the original. Have you tried searching Google images for Schwinn Heavy Duti to see if there is a quality image of the original crank? Searching this sight alone might get you the pic you desire. Just like Bicycle...

Need a favor from someone with a 2013 Schwinn Heavy-Duti

My Schwinn HD is a few or more years older than yours and I had to do a lot of adjusting to get the chain guard to clear everything. It's one of Chucks frame sets and my guard was a little bent at the bottom corner to the left of where yours is bent. After straightening that spot out I still had...

    What bike?

I'm not knowledgeable when it comes to bike ID's but your frame looks like a Murray manufactured Sear Flightliner, Spaceliner.... series. The long flanges on the rear dropouts and the twin top and middle tubes scream Murray to me. Other members will likely be able to tell you more exacting info.

    ~Found A Few More~

First time I've seen a brake like that. It might be a little hard on tire tread. :D

    Shimano 333 3-speed hub issue

Were you able to make one of them operational?

    Fence Find

That's great that you rescued it and that you're going to redo it for your daughter. I have no idea on the age or make but it has a newer look to me because of the fork and those little canti bars.

    Shimano 333 3-speed hub issue

Another issue with 333 hubs from a repair standpoint is from the little bit of reading I've done about them it seems Shimano made numerous revisions to them over the years of production. If so that means lots a variation in them. I've never been able to find detailed info about the various...

    USE A TIRE GAGE!

In my experiences with them it depends on the quality of the stick gauge. I have some older American made stick gauges that are accurate. Some of the overseas units I have are not accurate or consistent. Also I have a overseas brass bodied dial gauge that is the worst tire gauge I have ever owned.

    1997 Schwinn Frontier

Congrats! I have said it here many times before but I will say it again. I like those vintage Taiwan/Giant made Schwinn bikes. They can be found for cheap and in great condition.

    USE A TIRE GAGE!

Depends on a lot of variables but the main one is what is the PSI recommendations on the side wall of your tires. Some rims have PSI recommendations as well like some of the Worksman wheels.

    USE A TIRE GAGE!

I use my garage compressor as well but I only give bicycles very short injections of air, wait a bit, give another little blast, repeat..... Taking my time like that I have not blown a tube while airing it up yet. The only one that blew on me was sitting in the sun like Kingfish mentioned...

    SONJ State Competition yesterday

I want to say than you for volunteering as well. So few of us take the time to do so these days. IIRC you volunteer at your bike coop as well.

    USE A TIRE GAGE!

Good advice reggedjim and I like how you are not bashful about telling the story. We all make mistakes but few are willing to tell of them. Those darn tubes can sound like a shot gun blast when they blow like that. Happened to me once even though I did use a tire gauge. Case of cheap Chinese...
