Who are you? (with a bike of course)

Keeping going fast enough for the whippets will help there. They are pure joy in your vids running free.

What have you been riding lately?

Ouch. Linen tends to be tough too. So hopefully aside from shock, she is ok. Lucky you have access to lots of skirt guard pics and ideas from the past here. Something that I am surprised isn’t an option more often seen these days with more families going car free.

Rat / Rod Model Kit Bash Challenge 2023

That’s inspiring. My younger brother had a weird idea during all the covid craziness to buy a semi tow truck brand new. Which involved flying equivalent from new york to Oregon to pick up the trucks and driving them back through the real outback to avoid all the border and zone bans on movement...

    Mostly Garbage Day Eve Finds

Looks like you get satisfaction putting your skills to work. And getting fed resources by other folk like your early paper guy makes it cheaper to be able to pass on the blessing. The Lockland 7 speeds look ideal for a family with kids getting older.

    1968 Ross Convertible

I hope you left a trail of spokes behind you. Breadcrumbs get eaten these days by the trolls.

They create new space and expand your capacity to love even if careful around humans due to previous issues.

    STBO Gravelina

I respect that you checked the specifics and withdrew yourself. That said that you built a great riding bike gives me hope that this style might be doable where a top bar is impossible these days. Any good rider is a win anyway. Seems like agreement it is in the spirit of step thru at least.

    Savage B.O.B.

It does look like it has better potential on another build. With added fins on back and a clear nosecone?

Ok sink is cool spot. I’ll bett all 3 are waiting outside bathroom door complaining you don’t let them in.

Ollies is stocking some great base kits. Must be my age can’t go wrong with George Barris.

    Rebuilding a broken Straight 8

With the amount of riding and whippet running down near the boat harbour your old frame might be worth holding onto. I know there are a couple of ally ‘tinny’ style boat builders around. They would have the gear and if they heat treat the hulls chucking a bike frame in as well would be ‘carton...

    SWB0 🇭🇲 '82 Malvern Star Sprint 12

Stunning update of a great piece of brand history to build a bike that fits better and will get hundreds of miles keeping your 4 legged family happily sprinting along. The blue bike was a great inspiration to start you on the journey to this. And your professional work must be interesting...

Coming home you might need to do a Marty McFly and get a tow up that hill. She looks loonnggg.

    ORBO Step-Thru Klunker

And since a brain infection I have a ‘lazy ‘ left side. So I cannot imagine trusting the leg that drags a foot to do that typical swing up and over the seat landing on the pedal bit. So step throughs have really proved their value. It is funny when you think how much ‘auto’ does for us. Like...

Rat / Rod Model Kit Bash Challenge 2023

Yes pretty much except my spats were straight across at the back. The chrome was a series of fine strips along edge of bonnet back to the tail along the body line. The later mk2 had thinner chrome surrounds on door tops which made it look much finer and two coloured brake/indicator lenses.

Rat / Rod Model Kit Bash Challenge 2023

Great job, and barn find reminds me of a 1956 mk1 jag I bought from a family preferred Toyota Dealer. My mum was making noises about my 1974 Toyota Crown that had been customised with mag wheels and custom paint job and dark tinted windows being ‘a bit old’. Unknown to her my younger brother...

the I'll show you OFF TOPIC bike thread

I must admit thinking of Luke and lack of scrap bike parts. Next thing you have a dude wanders into local School of the Air. Offers to start a bike mods course for all the station kids. what parent does not want their kids learning to weld and let lose their imagination. Thinking back to Mad Max...
