It's pretty genius, actually

Yesterday I rode the CobblestoneRat with my trailer in full protest gear. Despite the crappy weather (cold, foggy and sprinkling rain) we were around 100 riders on our monthly protest ride.

Our new car is still a few weeks out, so I did our weekly shopping trip with bike and trailer again...
As the IronPig has shifter issues that need to be addressed, I took the CobblestoneRat to tow the trailer. 25kg of bike plus 75kg of groceries plus trailer plus my own weight, I probably had to move something in-between 180 to 190kg... 🥵
No need for a gym...

Just came back from a 48,3 km round trip. A friend of mine wanted to buy a new project bike, but had no means of transport, as the bike was not in rideable condition. So I joined him with my trailer in "bike transport setup". The transport part was around 17 km. The rest is the distance to get to the bike and later back home from his place. It was cold (around 2° C) but it was a nice ride!

At the start (I took the chance to get some stuff to him, that was stashed in my basement).

And with the loot loaded on the trailer on the way back (the trailer got some nice Big Apples just yesterday and in the meantime they are also mounted in the right direction 😉)

Took Bali Hai my faux bamboo tiki bike out for about 8 miles for shakedown runs the last couple of days. Today rode it to a stand of bamboo in a wooded area. Fake bamboo at real bamboo.

This bamboo averages about 6" in diameter. There were probably 50 stalks here recently. Someone cut it all down but this.

I rode my Elgin over to the Veterans Day parade to celebrate with other Veterans!🇺🇲🫡

The Sand Creek marching band got stalled & played the Air Force fight song twice right in front of me!:rockout::rockout:
Several other talented marching bands from the area played as well!

I hoped to ride PRPPL NRPPL afterwards but spent too much time chatting with Brothers I went to war with. My best friend sent a pic of me grabbing chow with our friend Gary.(I'm the dork in glasses on the left.🤓)

not much clearance with the "thick bricks " had make sure my wheels are laser straight also crimped the frame in the much needed spots and trimed the chainguard that I also had shorten about 1 1/2" since I only had one for 26" frame , Lotta work went into this ride but it was well worth it.

Great looking bike @A.S.BOLTNUT !!:cool::cool:
They have caps to fit the bottom end of the sissy bar at Ace Hardware in black or white. I like to use them for a finished look when I remember.

I love using 24" for muscle bikes! I also like to build bikes that look like they came from the factory that way. Well done!! Bet it's a blast to ride.👍👍

Thank you for your response! Yes the end caps , it does sport those now those were early pics ,... great tip for new guys such as yourself! I've seen a couple of your post over on the C.A.B.E.

I had to commute to the center of Berlin for a two day seminar. Took the Chance to put some more kilometers on the CobblestoneRat. 70 km in two days a 8° C. Not to bad...
And cold early morning is a good time to take a tourist picture with only few tourists in it... 😉

Me and my wife were riding with our kids in the tub of the cargo bike today. I rode on my BO18 bike.

My wife was wearing a very long linen skirt which got tangled up in the disc brake caliper!
She had to remove her skirt (luckily she was also wearing warm leggings) and we walked home.

I got it out by removing the complete caliper. It was still stuck when the caliper was removed!

I got in about 2.5 hours of Wellness on PRPPL NRPPL yesterday. My friend that stopped by fir a few laps said it looked like I wasn't even trying but bringing the mail! Now that I've got a good feel & trust for the bike I pushed it & is quickly becoming an all time favorite!!😈

Ouch. Linen tends to be tough too. So hopefully aside from shock, she is ok. Lucky you have access to lots of skirt guard pics and ideas from the past here. Something that I am surprised isn’t an option more often seen these days with more families going car free.
