They are not rare and they sell for like 40-50 bucks a pair in nice condition, here's a set they been trying to sell for $40 bucks for a while with no takers. So it's probably just better to keep your schwinn all original...

I went there with a mission to find me a prewar cruiser in good shape and that's what I did, believe me I wanted to buy all of them too and had a pocket full of mazuma :). I even left early before I changed my mind...LOL!. Had no plans to buy and flip, kinda burned out on flipping bikes...

Totally agree. I picked this one up like 2-3 days ago from the local CL for $30 bucks (pics from the ad, extras included)

I think it was first named Klunker 5 changed to Spitfire 5 and then later to Cruiser 5

Cheapo stand I picked up at a bike swap, nothing fancy but does the job.

Being able to lace and true your own wheels is a good skill to learn. After lacing around 5-6 wheel sets, it has become a 30-40 minute deal now that can be done while watching your favorite show :wink:. + = all laced and true:
