Thanks. It was the price that struck my interest. But it would not be worth the effort. And I just wasn't sure if it truly was that old. I thought looped dropouts didn't come out 'til around the 70's on BMX bikes. But I was wrong.

http://bit.ly/1aa0usQ He says it's from the 50's but it has looped rear dropouts. Didn't think they made those 'til later. He has a 54 bike license plate and I think that is how he is aging it. So is it truly a 54 and is it worth the price. I live about 10 miles away.

can some one please explain oxalic acid to me? i have a bike that has a bit of rust on it and trying to find the best way to remove it off the chrome (cranks, bars, wheels) i tried to google oxalic acid and the only thing that came up was for wood. couldnt find anything about metal

i could be wrong but it you look at the picture of the dropouts you get a pretty good shot of the chain and it does not look skip tooth to me. but hey its a $40 you cant go wrong for that price on a complete bike

not sure if it is the original key. looks newer to me but it does work. says Cleveland O. U.S with a Y 12 logo on one side the other side says cole national. pulled the crank (huge PIMA) and it says its a 36 the 6 could be mistaken for an 8 but im pretty sure it is a 6. i cant get the left side...
