    New member!

Welcome aboard! I've been riding a 80's Sport 500 lately, and I had a too-big-for-me DX-5000 for a brief time... Panasonic made great bikes.

    'Golden' suburban.

Wow, that's a mighty grand pie plate on the rear wheel! I'd hang on to that for sure :D

It pays to have a bikes wanted sign if front of the house

Wow, the sign paid off with a great score. I spotted a fairly modern Bottecchia at a pawn shop recently, but it was a bit too beat up for me. I'm jealous of yours!

    '63 Schwinn Racer

Sweet score, lots of character! It looks like it has two front fenders, but it's still a great bargain...

    Raleigh Bomber

Wierd, it looks like it has an internally-geared hub and a huge "dork disc?" Odd combination...

    oldtenspeedgallery.com

I love that site but I haven't visited in a while, thanks for reminding me! I have had more than my share of mediocre ten-speeds, I'll have to upload some pics.

my huge find......to be determined !!

Sweet mercy, that's an amazing score. I'm gonna have trouble sleeping... Let me know if there's a lonely old Paramount that needs a rider. I promise to make it go fast.

    2008 HARO RAILER SS

I'd be worried about banging my bottle into the seat tube when using the opener - but I suppose I could get it right with enough practice. Other than that, very cool, especially in the light paint scheme with gold ano -

    Todays Find

It looks like a nice mixte, and I've never seen one with one-piece cranks. I passed on two of them recently (a Peugeot and a Gitane) and wish I hadn't, they really are pretty bikes. There are some nice examples in the Classic & Vintage forum at bikeforums.net.

    TheFlyingDingo's Fresh bikes-New bike(s)-5/9

Re: TheFlyingDingo's Fresh bikes-New bike(s)-7/10 Nice stuff, the old Raleigh is a beaut!! I have a similar B72 on my all-around bike, and it's pretty nice. You might dig the appearance, but if you treat it with leather conditioner it will soften up a bit and it should last longer. I've hear...

    Kept digging

Wow, the 142 looks exactly like my 73! Mine had over 250k miles on it when I sold it.

Nice scores, congrats! I also dig the 240 (I had a 142 and an 1800e...)

    handle bar and fork HELP

If this is a threaded headset, the wedge probably dropped into the fork. You can usually tap it out from the bottom with a screwdriver or dowel and then thread it a few turns onto the bolt that passes through the stem.
