    SILVER KING KUSTOM

I spotted a similar Monark this morning at an antique show, but I think it had a single upper top tube and was really clean. The dealer had just sold it for $400.

    Retro fixie

You're off to a great start! I saw a similar truss-framed Indian from about 1910 at an antique show this morning, lace-up chain guard, wood rims, etc - definitely an inspiration!

    '79-ish Raleigh Tourist

That's a beauty! The fork rake and head tube angle are really relaxed, no wonder it doesn't turn easily. I bet you could ride hands-free forever 8)

    Forkless

I forgot to mention: the white & cream color scheme is very subtle and unique. Well done!

    Peugeot´s new life

Nice build. I'd pull the pie plate off the rear wheel if it was my bike, but I can understand leaving it in place if you're giving it to someone who might not be into doing the maintenance...

    Cool old Evans

Yeah, you gotta love a nice rack! Really unusual fenders too, I dig the braces.

    winora rebirth

That's a beautiful frame, it's going to look great! Can you post some closeup shots of the lugs?

    My first Rat...

Nice end product. I really dig the original flat blue, I definitely need to use that color on a project!

    SILVER KING KUSTOM

Very nice, way ahead of its time. Where was it made?

    100" of scrap metal-Lots new

The Fat Boy is probably worth $100-150, and it looks pretty clean. Terrible looking frame though, looks like it weighs a ton... I can't tell a valuable Mongoose from the K-mart variety, but I'm guessing this one is from the latter category :(

who said the economy was bad?

The problem is, 300 bucks will buy a little more than one shopping cart of food. So yes, the economy is bad and the dollar is devalued.

    Forkless

That is freaking mental, I'm in awe of your creativity! I have a weird desire to know what it would be like to wheelie that thing...

    My Finished Bike.

Nice work, you took an almost completely style-free bike and made it cool! I looked at the "before" pic and thought "horrible!" The original seat looks like it was designed for maximum crotchal discomfort, ouch

I love that Daisy, very nice! The chainwheel on the Columbia is pretty cool also...

    Raleigh Easy Ridin'

The Schwinn is sweet, I found one of those recently too :) Mine had a bmx-style fork and dia-compe MX-1000s, didn't take any pics unfortunately... It's a Japanese-made mid-80's Cruiser 6, and a pretty well-made bike. Here's a link to the catalog page, complete with 80's doofus boy toy.

    To All You Fixies

Bummer about the accident, glad to hear that she's ok. Do you have any details of what happened? Was she wearing any safety gear / using lighting? Was the fixed gearing a factor?

    Yeah, beautiful color!

    Raleigh Easy Ridin'

I found a really clean example of that cruiser a while back, I harvested the bars for a bmx cruiser and sold the rest on craigslist. Mine had mis-matched rims also, a steel front and a sweet Sumo rear which I should have kept, but didn't. It looks like yours has the opposite wheel set, weird...
