Latest build, a spoof skip tooth

Yes it is! Worksman INB of course! Originally I was going to put that fork on a Schwinn double straight bar that I have. I thought the frame twin bars and the fork twin bars would look awesome. Nope, just didn't look right. Got the frame from Chuck off this forum. All I did was light steel wool...

Latest build, a spoof skip tooth

From Nottingham, Whitworth threads, loose ball bearings, somewhere between 60-100 best I can tell. Found a repop Humber Duplex made in India I bought from a shop in Germany. Quality is not really good on the repop, it's really long, might do a 29er with it. These are 29 inch rims with the...

Latest build, a spoof skip tooth

Flat bars and long stem, cork grips, spurcycle bell, Brooks saddle, nexus 3. Slightly bent Humber Duplex Fork, I wouldn't say they are rare but they definitely are hard to find, the sexy swooping curve it has definitely changes the geromerty. Jocky shift. Faux skip tooth. Took a grinder 1/2...

    Rat bike guys adjustable wrench.

Now this is close to what I remember, might work here and there. We are getting close.

    Rat bike guys adjustable wrench.

I guess my frustration is I just finished working on a bike, I had nothing that fit to my OCD correctness standard. Made a thin wrench out of yardsale important wrench, a 4 inch grinder and a bench grinder. I'll never use that again in my life, unless I make a wind chime out of it. Of course...

    Rat bike guys adjustable wrench.

I remember years ago I saw a adjustable wrench that had really thin jaws. I've bought a couple of the "blue handle" bike wrenches, ground down some wrenches. I never have the right one. Sometimes you just need a thin backup wrench in a tight spot, probably won't use that size again for years...

WTB Shamano Nexus 3 lock nut

Need lock for nut Shamano Nexus 3 speed. Cog side, large lock nut. Need just one. On the cog side (r/h side looking forward) the axel increases diameter close to the cog, I need the lock nut for the larger diameter part of the axel. Bought a pack of 10 and they fit the small dia. part of the...

    US-89

Thanks guys. Very little progress, but what has been done I'm pleased with. As much as I ldig this hobby it is somewhat of a selfish pleasure and gets put on the back burner occasionally, you all can relate I'm sure. I'm leaving for a week, but I am planning to give it hell when I get back. Here...

    US-89

Still waiting on my brake bosses, no real progress. This came in the mail today. Made in USA. They are going to look good on the app hangers. Got a extra set for future build. Speaking of app hangers... Harley made massive amounts of war time motorcycless (during the big one WW 2), they were in...

    US-89

As beat up cosmetically as it looked, the frame seems very straight and solid. The dropouts are nice and everything looks good. I thought briefly about keeping that ratty paint, but brazing and gringing on it I decided I'm going to paint or have it powder coated. The sticker of a Guy Fawkes mask...

    US-89

Ok, here is a update. The 7 speed hub has no brake, you can add a roller brake to the hub but I chose to go v- brake. I have some brake bosses i was going to braze on but they aren't offset enough to get the spacing I want. They would probably work out fine, I'm going to run just the one rear...

    US-89

Schwinn patented the Cantilever Frame in the late 30's, the design has definitely stood up to the test of time. I bought this from thebigorangecat, I believe I'm the 3rd RRB member to own this frame. The frame has previously been in a Build Off. 1980 USA Schwinn. Going to take a look and...

    US-89

US-89 Name US-89 is for US Route 89. 89 is arguably the most scenic Route in the USA. Route 66 and 101 get lots of attention and it seems 89 doesn't get the respect it deserves. This bike build is in respect for US-89.
