Thank you for your reply. I took the sellers word that it was a Colorflow frame..and I think he knew what he was talking about...If that's all I need to do...easy enough !!. There is a brace..(about 3 inches long..from side to side) on the rear frame. It's welded to the frame sections. I got 2...

A couple years ago I bought a small bunch of bikes..2 JCH,,Roadmaster,,Phantom..and a bunch of parts. Got on other projects..but decided today to start on one. I made a straight bar from the girls Colorflow frame...to fit a tank I have..Pulled out the wheels..(brake is marked..jc Higgins)..and...

You say it's 1 1/8 ". What all was involved in making it fit ? I need one for a '48 Roadmaster frame ??

I saw the info. about the Crossbow forks. Wanted to know for sure..so..nothing different is being done. I want one of these...Does anyone know for sure about the other retailers ?

I just got an Email from DAVE, at Crossbow..He says they are NOT doing any additional welding on their forks..BUT....some customers are. I think I'll get one and weld it myself..

I recall that sometime back there ws a discussion about bad welds on these items. Is there any new info. about the problem being addressed..or should I still beware ?

AND..I'm new to bikes..and want to build a military theme.I was thinking flat dark green frame...other shades of green to finish it. Have only found one set of green wheels !!..and the tires are a little too light..Still need a frame..Western Flyer preferred..because I have a tank..Any and all...

I'll leave the pink ones to the guys that seem to have enough of an interest in them.....to look them up !..

Are Western Flyer...and...Westfield bikes at all the same..I'm looking for a Western Flyer frame for a project. The Westfield owner does not know..for sure....Thanks..jv
