I'm not Shure how to tell if this is a heavy weight or a middle weight. Can it be a phantom or ?? The serial #p11668 shows 1954/1956 I'm curious if this would have had S-2 balloon or S-7 wheels, 2 or 3 speed. Still trying to get the stem unstuck so I can put the correct fork on it:arghh:

From the center of bottom bracket to the top of seat tube is 18 1/2 if that's how it's done. I was thinking the frame and fork looked Schwinn but haven't seen one up close, kind of similar to my late 40's DX I agree the chain guard did not look like a good fit,

WOW... $15.00 that's a heck of a buy. Bikes like this are hard to find here and most of the time pricey. This one was brought in from Oklahoma

Thanks... the fork was what caught my eye. when I seen a tag hanging off the bars I figured it was going to be priced to high but it had $125 on it and I got him down to $100 .

Came across this 50's western flyer this weekend. missing some parts that I will be posting in wanted later. the rear wheel is marked worksman front is not marked but looks heavy duty also. Tires are 26x2.30. Head badge is nice.
