the BIG problem with that idea is the SA 3-speed coaster brake hub is a 40 hole...

schwinn solved the "large-sprocket-hitting-the-chainstay" problem by using a slightly curved chainstay on the drive-side of the 5-speed sting-rays (it's also an easy way to tell an original from a fake)...

OE rims are CHEAP...if you build a rim for skidding you'll have NO problem...it needs to handle the rotational forces both ways...

learn to build wheels...then the hub-wheel combo point is moot...you match the wheel to the hub and you're golden... just my $.02 New Dharma in an Old World

there's the real question...is it a chrome plated frame or a chromium and molybdenum (chro-mo or chromoly) frame? fast eddie: is the frame chrome plated?

etching primer deposits a layer of zinc phosphate on the metal surface for excellent corrosion resistance and to promote paint adhesion...smooth bare metal (and paint) are REALLY bad for the paint to stick...the etch creates a surface the paint likes!

what kind of fenders? are the fenders pre-drilled for the braces or do you need to drill holes (higher-end fenders are like this!)? Heavy weight, middle-weight, lightweight, other? Front fenders are USUALLY mounted using 1 or 2 braces going to the axle or a mounting hole on the fork. Rears...

With an SA 3-speed, the date should be on the hub body...and with the headbadge stamp, it might be a 1988
