Starting building this up for my wife and trying to narrow down the year it was made. Got it as a bare frame, no badge, no crank, no fork etc etc. Any help on what year it actually is? I looked at the Schwinn serial number page and prewar tips page, but that doesn't really narrow it down too...

I just came across a blog with some odd old bike pics and there was one of a 10ft tall trike that had a steering wheel instead of handle bars. Anyone done this here? If not I want to see at least one build off bike with a steering wheel :mrgreen:

Is it as easy as buying a seat, sissy bar and bolting it all up? Thinking of adding a banana to a build for my wife.

My lady's bike had some beat up wheels/tires with solid tubes. The tires were 26x1.75. I replaced the wheels/tires with a new set I had kicking around, but the tires were 26x2.125. They fit fine in the frame, but not under the fenders. So I ordered some 26x1.75 tires and of course they don't fit...

Hey I'm AJ from Sacramento. I just picked up a prewar schwinn and found the site while doing some web research. Love a lot of the bikes on here. This one is going to be pretty classic, unmodded, but I already have plans for another that might fit it a little better here.
