stupid question time! awesome looking bike but what is that apparatus on the back wheel i've never seen one. is it purely cosmetic or does it do something too?

i've seen one other shifter like that...is that on a rollfast?

what you need is a donor bike...look around at local thrift stores, goodwills, dumps, yardsales, and find a bike that has all or some of the parts you need. then talk them down to the lowest price and there you go...parts! then when you find everything you need for this bike you can start...

this is one of my favorite threads...it not only shows the life cycle of a bike but the creative process as well keep it goin. i dont know how many of my bikes have gone thru the same thing.
