Someone had said November 1960 so I assume the K is for the month on the chart and I know that sometimes the numbers for the year are flipped so I assume the 06 means '60.
Thanks! Someone else said '56 as well. Someone else thought '58-'61, but it's definately not '60's. From what I understand through some research, the balloon bikes were going out by about '54-'56 as the new, lighter middleweight bikes were replacing them. And my bike definately looks '50's, I...
I like the Dyno, it's a good looking bike. I bought one this past Spring in decent condition for $60, gave it a paint job and cleaned it up and sold it for $100. Here's a pic of the bike before I repainted it. It was a sweet bike and ran perfect but the color was hideous!

I know this is an ancient thread but when I was a kid in the '70's, a neighborhood kid had an orange one. Too bad we can't see the future, I would love to know what ever happened to that bike. Must be a real collector piece now.
Yeah I'll probably just go for it. I've always loved the Monark and you're right, if I were to pass this up another one might not come along that I would be able to get due to being even more expensive than this one or too far away.
Oh I've always been impressed with the Monark, as well as vintage bikes in general. They are built like tanks. Yeah even the China beach cruisers at Walmart are approaching $300. The Monark is owned by a friend who lives two streets over.
My friend here in town has this Monark for sale. He had wanted what he paid for it which is $475 but he said he would sell it to me for $430. This is the only pic I have of it. Would you guys guess it's worth it in your opinion? I know these are worth a lot of money for some reason. I don't...
