    Bike Dynamos

Does anyone know where you can get bicycle dynamos for fairly cheap? The cheapest I have been able to find have been in the $50 range. Im looking for one to use in a summer project bike. Also, what are peoples experiences with dynamos? Im completely new to them. Thanks!

Re: Basman 346 updated 3-12-10 new pics Man this is suck a beautiful bike. I LOVE that frame. I saw a motorcycle the other day with a very similar frame. The frame, motor, and wheels were matte black. The tank, fittings, chain, and a few other bits of hardware were polished brass. It looked...

colors for a paint job needs a touch of CLASS

I really like it the way that it is! BUT I would be tempted to paint it all black, with some chrome. AND A BLUE WALLED TIRE. Maybe a light, sky blue.

    Another bike, another build! (Completed!)

I finally finished this build up last night. I coated the area where the handgrips were to be installed in a very thin coating of clear glue (its like a really adhesive caulk, it doesn't dry hard). Then I wrapped the twine nice and tight. I couldn't decide on any bar plugs at the LBS, so i...

    First foray into bike building...

Its been a while, but I have finally completed the build of this bike! I ended up just using a white athletic-like tape for my handgrips. I wanted something a bit different, and cloth seemed to work for the bike really well! Since I went from the original 27" tires to 26" ones, I had to...

    Another bike, another build! (Completed!)

Re: Another bike, another build! I already ran into that, so what im going to do is smear a thin layer of rubbery adhesive (something similar to caulk) on the bars beforehand. Then wrapping the twine over that. It would secure the twine from stretching over time, and take some stress off of...

    Another bike, another build! (Completed!)

Re: Another bike, another build! You know, I actually thought of that. But I know from experience that I wouldn't be able to get the twine as tight and even as just wrapping it. Im a perfectionist, and if I cant get it right the first time, I'll keep working on it! Ive got an idea, but I...

    Another bike, another build! (Completed!)

    wretched 2

Ive been thinking of doing this for my next build. I REALLY love bobbers (im not a fan of apes though). I feel like its just too extreme of a frame for me to be in the mood to ride it everyday. I ride my bike every day to class. I like to stand out from other bike riders, but I dont like a...
