Dude, I'd love to, but time is pretty precious right now - Two houses for sale, moving into the third, and wanting to build the forth. Ugh. Working full-time [and then some] and doing the part-time contract gig... and then this - viewtopic.php?f=5&t=55386 LOL. Life is good. The build will have to wait, still collecting some pieces though. I'll watch yours for now.

made a few minutes of progress this past weekend.

I don't have enough length of skip tooth chain - bummer. So I'm thinking of putting the Tioga chainring on the old dog leg crank like this. I also plan on giving the guard the drillium treatment.

I found a 5/8 bar seat post I bought from same guy I got the wheels from. It still didn't fit, so I sanded it down on the belt sander:

here's a shot of it with a seat in about the spot it will go. Have to figure how to get it clamped to such a small diameter seat post. Might have Big Pants Bob weld a larger diameter collar on it.

next I have to make some 3/8 brake line front trusses, and see if I can make the louvers fit.

ok, I finished my last wedding project on Saturday so I was able to get some garage time in on Sunday while the fiance was working.

last project, a faux Montreal street sign with our names. Montreal was our first trip together. It'll be placed next to the bicycle flower planter with a decorative box on the rear rack for cards, and flowers in the basket up front:

on to the bike stuff...

got to cleaning the various bearings:

then to stripping the frame and fork:

in the meantime I hammer-toned the dogleg crank:

and started thinking about giving these cheap pedals the drillium treatment after popping out a reflector:

and after a couple hours arrived at my dilemna; I had every intention of stripping this bike and painting it gloss black. But after the first stage of stripping I was left with what I think is a gorgeous patina. I'm pretty sure I'm going to leave it as is (with matte clear coat).

that's where I'm at for now, and since I'm getting married in 4 days, that's where it's going to stand for a while.
