Actually the most popular sticker in Canada you will find one in pretty much every small town,city ripcordz have been at it for 40 years and will play anywhere for a case off beer.
That is cool, but couldn't bring myself to remove the stock knob from the Schwinn shfter.
Looking back at the pics, it could probably work mounted on the side. I would probably have to move it slightly forward. I like the look on the side, but I dig it coming up from the middle even better.
I like that effect you get with these cycle trucks once you remove the visual mass of the giant cargo basket from the front.
Some of my early thoughts on this build was to have an mega tall shifter arm and finally use the gutted Magic 8 Ball that I've wanted to make into a hot rod monster shifter knob. I just don't think it's in the cards for this build though.
Got the shifter installed and operational this morning. Position is perfect and gearing is spot on. This bike just got even more fun!

Made a reference template to transfer the position of the shifter hole to the car body.
WOW! i glanced up at the bike after maki g that template post and saw this cardinal just hanging out checking out my build.

I like how the shifter body pokes through the opening. It would be a crime to cover up such a sweet piece completely.
I agree. Once I get the initial cutout, i may even open massage the opening to show it better.
Actually, it looks like the curve down from the top will naturally expose more of the shifter body. That's even better.
