I did have one other shot from the bridge from yesterday. A little 'top down' , bending over instead of kneeling. I like the setting of the photo, and seeing more of the bridge and path beyond.

Just got back from our night ride photo shoot. I grabbed a few stills and Logan shot some ride footage with his GoPro. It got darn dark out real fast! :bandit:

A couple of stills to bide time till he has time on his computer to put together a little vid. Prob a couple a days. These first two shots were taken just a minute or two apart. You can see the side and rear jewels glowing!

Then Logan held up his rear tail light and we got kind of a Twilight Zone photo...

This little guy greeted me under the back door light when we returned...

That lamp is just so awesome. Its even cooler when they work
Love this part in the buildoff where everyone is testing their machines.
BRE, we were running around for about 20 minutes or so and it stayed lit no problem. Very humid outside so there was a little fogginess on the lens when we were done, but Logan kept saying, "That light is so cool!" Twenty-something guy that is really into custom stuff, went to the same Musical Instrument Repair college that I did (almost 20 yrs later!) and just finished the Bicycle Frame building program last Fall. Kindred spirits for sure!

I don't know anything about photography, but I like these 2. The bike came out sooo good! Glad to see you're out enjoying it!

Thanks man! I completely love the feelings and historical nostalgia that the bottom photo evokes. And for me, getting moved by something I see, hear, or experience is what it is all about. And 'filters be dam-ned', I think this last photo is my voting photo.

It wouldn't be the first time some photo enhancement has made the voting polls. After all, it's about what speaks to us as individuals. If anybody else likes it, that's their choice.

Alright, you asked for it; the night ride video is HERE! Its short, and dark, so don't blink because if you do, you will miss it for sure. Did I mention its dark? 😄 Make sure you have the audio turned up! 🤣

The chatting sound you hear is Logan's high end cassette hub on his fat bike he was riding while shooting this. Quasi-Motobike moved silently through the darkness like a ninja.

Video and sound show up if I am looking at this on my phone.
But, from my PC, I can only hear the sound and there is no video showing

Very cool night ride. It’s hard to tell in the video, does the headlamp make enough light to see where you’re going?

Video shows up now that you uploaded to Youtube.
Very cool

We were tooling along at around 10 mph on the ride. It was fine with the additional ambient light from street lamps and house lights. The last segment (watch it again now that it is in movie form on Youtube) was in the park where there was no light, I know those paths well, but I wouldn't ride in unfamiliar territory at a faster speed with just that kerosene lamp. Consider it a 'be seen' type of light rather than 'see with' type.

Congrats brother. Great build. I really like how this one turned out.

Thanks man. This was a build I'd been wanting to do for a long time. Glad you like it.

Fantastic work. Your patina technique is inspiring and your kind words and encouragement to others, well, we're all lucky to have you here on this forum.
I can say with certainty that my build would not have turned out as cool as it did without you.

That means a lot, I appreciate the kind words. The best part of these build offs for me is the give and take of creative input. That's what makes this all so much fun!

Very nice build. Was so much fun watching you play with the lamp. Always great company and your modem bike expertise often comes in handy. 😎
