I have been rethinking the red on red color scheme. With the red wheels, it might be too much to have both the frame and fenders red too.
Here is a rough computer mock up I did last night with a creme/red scheme. What do you think?

I'm still dreaming of this! Especially with your new paint scheme design....!

Bike's looking great B!! I knew you'd dig that kickback. I was gonna put one on my bike but the tire didn't fit the look. So...next year...

The big blocks are the foundation of the old courthouse. Front skirts can look cool when done right, but I keep veering away from my original thoughts for this build. Actually fenders and color scheme are up in teh air.

Jake, I really like that kickback wheelset. Not only for the easy two speed, but those fat wheels with the the little white bubbles sticking up are too cool.

Swapped out the 48T spoke chainring for a 52T Monark style sprocket. The swirling paisleys go great with this frame, BB shroud, pedals, and skirts.

Time to get the chainguard mounted.
Drilled out and modified the front brace and used some of my portable bed spring steel to make up a brace.

Cut a curved brace that I thought would work.
After looking at it, it's too big. The rear brace needs to be small and unseen, so I'll handle that later.
This guard was made for this chainring!!!!

The double kickstand that I originally bought for this build folded both legs to one side and would hit the skirt guard, so I had to get a different style. I had to cut some of the upper lips off of it so that it would fit between the BB shroud. It was night, but I rolled it out to the courtyard to see how well it did. I like it .

All good changes/updates/decisions..time for paint?

I am almost to that point, especially since I am thinking of going fenderless. Most everything is getting locked down.

New chain ring really carries the theme well! If you go fenderless you won't have to worry about what color to paint them! Probably will give the bike a "faster" look...

I am not even joking when I say this but can we please have more courtyard photos. I'd like to build something nice like that. It looks super serene.
Gig,
I've been in that courtyard, no photos can do it justice. It's truly a beautiful space.

Cheers to Mrs. KF!

Thanks guys, I will definitely let Queenfish know how much you like her work. It's a beautiful hidden urban eden.

I told Queenfish about all of the compliments on her courtyard, so she swept and prepped it today so that I could post some photos. This courtyard was the final piece to our three year restoration on our 1873 row house that we completed about 10 years ago. You can also see the porches we added for the second and third floors. My shop is in the first floor of the carriage house.

Here are the pics.

She works hard to keep it nice year round. It's definitely has a tropical lushness to it (especially this time of year).

Took another piece of the portable bed spring steel and fabricated the rear guard brace.
