I actually like that cross bar bar. It gives the bike an even more front heavy look, but in a good way. Like a big old sedan from the '50s.
Wow ,that's bad ... nice build
I want to own a Mini since I rode in one with my dad. He usually got one as a replacement car when he brought his car to the workshop for servicing. Riding it feels like driving in a gocart... It's pure fun!Found this awesome old true Mini Cooper next to Six Pence Pub. A few weeks back there was a Lamborghini parked here. It is my guess that the person that paid $3.5 million for the house the parking lot is for must be a cool car collector.
This little gem was a beauty! I would get more joy out of it than any Lambo (unless I was flipping it )

I know I've already put over 300 km(186 miles) on mine.Thanks, I'm having fun with all of this seat time this early in the build.
What a great job on this bike. I really like how long it is. The front fork is a work of art in itself. I like you handlebar choice. I am torn about the shifter location. Such a long fine shifter hidden in the depths of the frame. I think I favor the Schwinn Krate locations on the top bar. That way everyone can truly marvel at your long shifter. Handle. Not sure if you favor kickstands but I love them. Maybe a good double leg stand like older motorcycles had. Looking forward to the chainguard installation. Keep up your fine work.

My preferred type would be a woody van like this one:

My first car was a woody like this, followed by a whole series of saloons.

Road trip!That is awesome! It will be awhile before I have that many miles on this one. The downtown area that I ride in is relatively compact.
Ah ha! Just as I suspected.....

Uncle Stretch wheelbase far exceeds that of the Mini Cooper. Streeeeeetch indeed!
You would never know it was that long in pictures. The portions are so dead on.That is funny, but it got me curious. I just had to go out and measure to see.
My bike is actually shorter with a wheelbase is 56" (142cm) and the overall length is 84" (213cm)
I looked up the classic Mini Cooper specs and they are actually longer than my bike
Wheelbase = 80" (204cm) and Overall length = 120" (305cm)
