Just got back from another 3 hour ride with Uncle Stretch. Had a blast with tourists and residents. Got some great dusk and neon shots too.

Here is a pic of a happy boy and his Uncle.

I REALLY LOVE MY CITY!!!!

Here is a cool sequence where I rode down one of the ballast stone lined ramps that go from the elevated bluff (where most of the old city is at) and down to River Street (where the old warehouses have been turned into restaurants and shops and we have the nice Riverwalk that y'all have seen my photos from.

Up on the bluff, here is the old Harbor pilot light that used to be used to give pilots a point of reference to guide ships up river towards the city (you can see the river beyond).

Still up on the bluff just past this live oak and cannon, you can see a ramp going down to the right. That is the ramp I rode down. in the subsequent pics and video.

This video shows the ramp I rode down. And by the way, with fat tires, big springer, and springer saddle, it's a breeze on this bike. I haven't ridden up this particular ramp with this bike yet, but I am pretty sure I could take it with the gearing I have.

Here is a section of River Street itself. It's a cool special effects video that my phone did. It's almost like a technicolor cloud was passing over or something.

And then I was on the Riverwalk itsel watching the ship being guided by tugboats passing the bridge.

One of the last things I did on my ride last night was stop by my cathedral and give thanks for the blessing of experiencing another fun build off with you all.

And as the sun sets on Build Off 17, thanks to each and every one of y'all that built, commented, dreamed, offered advice, added humor, and provided the comeraderie that these BOs are known for.
Thanks for helping me build a better and cooler bike than I ever would have on my own!!!!
Good luck everyone!!!

Thanks to every one that enjoyed my Uncle Stretch build! I can't tell you how much fun this bike has been. First to discover such a cool piece of early RRB history. Then to do all of the research and digging in the archives. Once it was time to build it, I was so stoked. Thank you all for leading me along the way, because I truly didn't know where this one was gonna go. It just told me what it wanted to be along with your help. Now I've got a killer build that I've been riding like crazy during the voting week. Speaking of voting,,,,,thanks to everyone who honored me by including πŸπŸ—πŸ‘πŸ• π”π§πœπ₯𝐞 π’ππ«πžππœπ‘ 𝐂𝐨π₯𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐗𝐋𝐖𝐁 as one of your choices. I am so proud to have finished in 3rd Place with the strong field of builds that we had this year!!!! I also have to give a big shoutout and congratulations to my Savannah partner in crime @Dr. Tankenstein for earning 5th Place with his killer Lowco Liner build!!!! Can't wait to roll with you again brother!!!! Now everyone take these rolling trophies we've built and RIDE WITH PRIDE!!!!
