They've survived worse. I've used this for oxalic baths sometimes :D :D :D

Had to run to walmart and get some slime peel and stick patches. Feels great to have the fatty fatty tire and rims mounted with the mocked extensions. Good clearance and good adjustment room. I am pretty confident the extensions will work fine once I fit them up properly.

Earlier today, I tested the baseball bat torpedo tank I made during my Uncle Stretch build. If I shortened it by about 4 inches it could possibly work.

On the way back from walmart, i swung by my stash and removed the tank from my recent 1960 Columbia Fire Arrow score. Purists will hate me, but with just very slight adjustments, this looks like it could fit very well. Totally clears the beehive too.

Now I'm curious how that would look with the Evans action fork. The broad 'shoulder' of the tank resembles the top plate of the Evans... 🤔

Yes! That looks like it belongs there

I am liking it so far.

Bro…. Page 10!!!??? You’re killin’ me!!! :crazy2:

You know how my threads go :D :D :D

I can see what you are talking about. I'll give it a try with the Evanaction at some point.

lovin those tanks with lights !!! gonna be a winner again !!!

Thanks brother. I'm digging the tanklight as well.

Given how much further back the rear wheel sits now, I'm wondering how it would look if you flipped the beehive springer to kick the front wheel out a bit too.

I may try that down the road. Personally, I'm not a big fan of the flipped springer fork look. Mainly because you end up with one curved leg and then one straight leg sort of running parallel. Visually, I'm not a fan of the UN-parallelism of the two fork legs. It just throws my eyes off.

Jack Elam. My grandfathers best friend from their army days.

I loved his proctologist character in Cannonball Run

I totally get that. The straight part doesn't look nearly as good when the fork is flipped. Often times you'd need something to distract from the part so it doesn't stand out as much. Personally, I think those older Schwinn springers look better flipped than the rat traps, since the only change to the look is that the fork legs have more of a rake than before.

I am loving how easy this Dewalt work table is to set up or take down. Great sturdy surface too.

Worked on laying out some templates to make the dropout extensions equal. Also got more ideas on placement. Made sure the chainlines would still work too.

Moved the table out to the lane where I usually set up my urban paint booth.

Guess this is my trashy fab shop today. 😀

Broke out the vise, cut off wheel, and grinder and went to work.

:forum:DeWalt table... search... search ... search...
<edited for spelling even though "DeWalt" was marked as mis-spelled.">

Here is a video of it. Looks like the sell for $99 online, but I scored mine on FB Marketplace for around $25.
