Those gas pipe bars definitely play well with the frame and forks. 👍

Yeah, I'm liking these bars so far. Still not sure if they would be up or down.

I normally prefer bike tanks inside the frames, but holy cow, that tank next to the nanner looks AWESOME! I think it's got potential!

I like the option of the nanner as a possibility.
The tank flows extremely well into the nanner, but I'm just not sold on using the tank for this build.

Nice that you got the tire issue resolved with the simple non-invasive method. Bars look cool down but might not be real comfy. They’re cool. Love that Flexliner. Really awesome build that one.

My workshop is such a mess, I always have to take time to unpack and semi sort things during each build off just so I can find the goodies I want to consider for my current build.

One of the parts I have in my this year are the custom bars that Tomas @OddBall Cichecki (OCD Connection) gave me when I spent the day with him in London back in 2022. He made these from gas pipe years ago.

We'll see how they play with the build. This old bmx stem is the first one I found that would work. This fork has a frozen slug halfway down the steertube, so this is as low as it can go for now.

Those are cool!! And you have them
In the “correct” position in the last photo 😉 They have a BigHit Velo UnderGround look to them.

It's funny you should mention bighit. Oddball's inspiration for these bars were the pipe bars that bighit did on his Bully build.
Fun fact: This is the frame that I turned into SteamRoller for BO15

Found a more minimalist bmx stem that I think works better.

Nanner test. I like the vibe, but not completely sold on it yet.

That is why I wanted to try the Evanaction fork again. Especially since I know there aren't any clearance issues.

Yes, the continuity of the pairing (pun intended) is perfection. I really like this setup, or the beehive and pipe bars only. I think you may need a different set of bars for this configuration.
*edit* maybe the pipe bars upright?

This other bmx stem fit in the steertube better, so here is a mockup with the pipe bars, bug eye, and Evanaction

Thanks for the cool offer BRE, I'll let you know if I go that route. When someone mentioned custom brake arm, I immediately thought of you. You've done some very cool work in that regard.
I'm not quite at that decision point yet though. Too much more to work out in my head. Now that I have a rolling chassis, I am about to roll it out into the courtyard and see what needs to be sorted out next.
Your welcome Kingfish!
No rush, take your time. It does not take long to draw one.

Regarding the current mockups: Love the Beehive and Evan forks! I am personally not sold on the bars, even though I can deeply appreciate the design and looks.
