Waiting on parts for the gravel bike so started in on this one. Unlike the last tear down this one was not so pleasant. This thing was definitely neglected. Everything was dry or seized or stripped. Ugh

The fixed seat has gotta go. Thrashed anyhow. I'm going to try and mate a micro adjust to the stock seatpost base

Maybe try some spray coupons to choose from

That seat looks more comfortable than the viscount I put on my hutch. Ended up getting a gel cover for it.

Same with silver/aluminum splatter added

Gloss white base, glitter cover coat, purple and yellow splatter

ya no while chai tightener rear drop out work grate on race frames. on bikes made for park with short rear drop outs and 25 /9 gear set up. they are most times a no go. you need just one wheel slammer. and you should be good to go.

Tioga makes a set like that the spider in a version . that works with a pivotal 25.4 seat post. or just run a regular 25.4 with beach cruiser type set guts. if you need a OK park/trails/street pivotal seat. I have a few used ones with life left in them. may even have a seat post.

I have one on my FMF but trying to not buy anything extravagant for the junkyard special

my go to fave is black frame with blood red splatters . makes it look like some one die while riding it. ya I am weird that way. so your kinda going this way?

Limited pallets are easier to manage. Adding a drizzle of silver is my second choice, still regal, but mixing metallics is risky... And the glitter? Are we in the muscle section?

Yep. Either the paint or tooth brush flicking method I think. Probably a little more subdued but we shall see
