I got these at a swap meet some time ago. Wasn’t really sure where they would land, but here it is.

i spent all day…. And I mean all day. Solid 10 hours on the psycho truck. First up, finished the shaping on carrier and mounted the wagon tub.

I took it for a spin like this, and wasn’t really satisfied with the coaster brake.

I came back and rebuilt this drum hub I had on a bent wheel. I found an Araya 7x and replaced the wheel. Spokes were right length. Had to replace the bearings and axle as it was bent. That wasthe better part of 3 hours. Trued up pretty fast.

I had to find correct spacers to clear the hardware on the dropouts, but finally got it to work. Threw on a 21 tooth freewheel for some climbing. Replaced the MtB brake lever for some good old BMX goodies. Polished up the Kookas and mounted the Pro Neck ring. Very tight on the bottom. I finished it all just after sun down.

interesting side note. When riding, the tub acts as a subwoofer. It amplifies the sound of the tires meeting the road. Really funny. I can hear every little noise and clank nicely, enabling me to get back and make adjustments, Even now, the sound of perfect silence, has a natural resonance that is amplified by the tub.

That's one of the things about custom bikes, problem solving. I've had deal with unsettling noises from fenders etc. I once had a 7'' dish size CatEye reflectors attached to a 48'' sissy bar behind my head. All the bike noise was amplified directly into my ears!

Good lookin' bike, gonna look even better finished. Is that a Pete's Precision chainring? Several of us have different brand/color bear traps

All you have left to do is add the Koehler brewing sign and your done... Nice looking Physcho Truck any way.. RaToN... Razin...

Yea. The paint work will take some time. But I have a while. Snow will be flying soon. Still manage to get some riding in, but the the ice is a killer.

Yes. This won’t interfere with the tub support when turning.

I went through my stash of wheels and discovered a late-old to mid school pro class 40 high flange. This should give a bit more strength out front. Plus it matches the Araya 7x out back. But I have to say, the black paint that was on it was the toughest stuff I have encountered. Tried everything. Oven cleaner, paint stripper, solvent. Nothing touched it. Was a rather thin finish and didn’t suspect it to be powder coat, but who knows. It was almost like ceracoat.
