Not sure I was thinking older Lincoln...really don’t know. I have two more. Was thinking tank sides could use them but I hate to drill holes in them. Decals would be more friendly.

The star chief has three to a side . I can't think of a Lincoln 4pt star that doesn't have a box around it.

Looks like you’re on the money...Pontiac it is. I paid 10$ for my three...a little less than online price. Thanks for verification...I like knowing the details of things.

Version II: I sourced some 3/16” rod and a couple of turnbuckles a few days ago. The thought was to fab a more mechanical way to activate the wheel Bell. I threaded one end of the rod and used the hooked turnbuckle end at the arm on the bell.

After determining that a little upward force would let it make contact with the wheel I spent some time experimenting with a lever idea at the bars. My prototype at present consists of a rubber bushing, a hose clamp and a reshaped copper piping u-bracket.

I haven’t shortened the rod yet as I’m not convinced I have the best solution worked out. So for safety reasons (“You’ll poke your eye out!”) I have a Rat Fink antenna topper on the end it the rod.

Version III: Or so for the wheel Bell activator. I picked up this little CI collar in an antique store on Friday thinking it would be a good pull device.

So I found some #12-24 SS nuts and rethreaded the 3/16” turnbuckles. Then I trimmed and threaded the 3/16” rod #12-24nc. The rest all just fell together.

I cut and shaped one side of the collar for a comfortable finger pull.

Rat Fink is still there for now.

Version IV: It’s a small thing but rotating the turnbuckle hook 180 degrees at the bell connection helped smooth out the operation. It was binding up some the way I had put it back together in Version III. [emoji736]

I’ve had this old key fob since my youth. The Chevy, Olds and Pontiac dealer in Kingman used to have the new model showing in the Fall every year. They always had swag to give away to get people to come in. Us kids would go down after school and ogle the new cars and collect some little trinket.
I pulled out this leather advertising fob to use with my Elgin Bike Lock. Note the phone number...helps in dating this.

We had a 4 digit number until about 6th grade, then it was either a 3 or a 7, then the four digit number. By the time I graduated, we had all 7 digits.

Worse than that 3 digit #, when we still lived on the farm we had one of those old wooden crank phones. The ring was something like 3 Long and 1 short to know you should answer the phone. And you had to crank it to get the operator...
