1948 HUFFMAN WESTERN FLYER

Got this nice original Huffman (I think) this evening...any ideas on year? Paint appears original...seat & grips are not but everything else seems to check out...serial # is 8H346077 (on bottom bracket).Head badge looks almost new...here we are...

Its a 1948. The 8 is the last digit of the year, 1948, 1958, etc. The H is for Huffman obviously. Nice score!

Sweet find Pappy! That is my "go to" frame, I love them. Same as my '48 Hiawatha Rat, '49 Hawthorne Zephyr, and '50 Dial Your Ride just with different options. Also the same frame as the rusty huffman I sold to Clark, and wish I hadn't and still had. I also have about 3 - 4 of the same era girls frame bikes. But yours has nicer paint than any of mine.
