I found a new project yesterday. Picked up a nice 1951 Schwinn with a locking springer fork. I was going to just use the fork on my Murray restore...but, it looks like I might try to restore the Schwinn???  :D
Does anyone know what model type it might be? H2 61215

Ther is no way to tell a model from a ser.# :( But you may very well have a Phantom frame there! Headbadge and locking springer point that way. It would be really spendy to restore a phantom. Up side, nice strong frame and fork for a really nice beach cruiser project!

I agree. A black headbadge and locking springer on that frame says "Phantom". Try removing some of the red paint on the seat tube or the forward part of the frame and see if there's a 3 color paint job underneath. Authentic Phantom frame: at least $100. Locking springer: at least another $100. You did good! Gary
