1962 Western Flyer Sonic Flyer

Picked up this bike for my wife. She wanted a "Rat bike".

Stripped the black spray bomb paint with oven cleaner.
Added correct tank and a more comfortable seat.
Applied salt water and hydrogen peroxide solution over the bare metal to achieve patina.
After washing, applied boiled linseed oil finish.

I think I have a headlight bezel for that, I can check if you want.

I had one with headlights and battery holder but it would not fit without modification.

Also had the tank shown - some came without lights. This tank snapped right into place and is a perfect paint match.

Thanks! funny thing is I bought 3 tanks from @2manybikes and I intended to use the tank with a light, Just would not fit right.

The tank we went with (above the white one) fit perfect and is nice color match as well.

To be fair, my wife went to the auction with me and picked out that bike. She rode it the other night for the first time and likes it a lot. Usually she prefers 3 speeds but she said the bike really is pretty good considering only one speed.
