Ohh I had these on a couple of my bikes and I really like them. They look bulky, are not to heavy, fast rolling and not to expensive. Just be careful when it gets muddy and generally in fast corners...

Great looking wheels, what high flange hub is that?
It's actually a Schwinn Fore brake (drum brake). I got the hub shell from a pile of '49 Schwinn Phantom parts. I had attempted to use it on my 2024 buildoff bike DNF. I had to pony up for the repop parts to get it working.

Finally out of the deep freeze, at least momentarily.
Still haven't tensioned up the spokes on my wheelset.
Here's a little mockup with some Holy Rollers just for fun.
First is with the 22T chainring that I plan to run.

With a 24T Western Flyer chainring. I might start here and drop down to the 22T depending on how it rides.

With a different set of bars. Still a Wald Aero stem, but these bars are a bit wider and a bit rattier.
