1964 schwinn american

my brother picked this up for me. 1964 american, came from the original owner. pumped up the tires, and took it for a ride. i'm temtped to leave the rust, and ride it as is.

Right on! Leave the rust, add a beefier black crashrail saddle, and cruise! Nice!

The only thing I would do is straighten the valve stems, and add some valve stem caps. It's perfect.

that thing is loaded with the hard to get parts !!! , 4 reflector rack, fender with jaguar reflector, schwinn springer. plus the rest aint bad either. nice american !!!

That's a great find! I always think of ways to upgrade my finds, but this ones done! Ratty and ready!

I'd do a little cleaning myself, if only as a reason to play with a cool classic. The rust will always return! :wink:

i know there is no way i'll leave it as is, the urge to clean it up will be too intense.(it's about #35 in my lineup though)
