Hey everyone, this is a restoration I'm working on right now and I thought I'd share the build process here aswell. This is an early 1970 CCM Spoiler single speed rebadged by a possibly local market store that isn't around anymore. As a reminder, the Spoiler is a variant of the Marauder frame under the same brand, the serial frame number is: B533935 and the hub is a coaster Komet Super. This Spoiler does'nt have the usual solid ''Spoiler Orange'' color (probably due to being rebadged and sold as a special Spoiler for the implied market store), instead it sports a dark metallic orange (as seen under the chainguard, where the UV lights didn't affect the paint) with matching Hunt Wilde handlebar tape. It's been heavily sunburned, to a point where the silver base coat is clearly visible. It's complete and even have some extra pink streamers, atleast they were pink at some point in time.

On further look:
Here is a peak at the original color, underneath the chainguard:
And here is the layout of the now non-existant badge:
** If anyone have any information on what could be the badge used on this bike, please share it! Again there isn't much info about these bikes. **
About that badge:
From what I've gathered it might be a Woolco badge since the bike itseflseems to match the bike on this Woolco add on pretty much all of the details mentionned.
Problem is, Woolco badges aren't common and I haven't seen one yet...
Individual parts:
-Rear mudguard: Rusty!
-Front mudguard: Rusty & badly re-drilled!
-Crank & pedals: Chrome plating came off and light scratching on crank, the axes inside the pedals are bent.
-Seat: The usual rust there and there, cut taped on on the side of the back rest.
-Sissy bar & clamps: Looks like someone had fun with wool steel (left-original, right is a spare I had that should clean a bit better).
-Handlebar & Tape: Bars are ok, light scratches, tape is used (but protected a good portion of the chrome.
-Fork: Had the same fate as the sissy bar, fortunatly, I have a NOS fork in the way.
-Rear rim & Tire: Tire is a Dunlop Gold Seal , Canadian made 20A rim, Shimano spoke protector, will clean up well.
-Front rim & Tire: Tire is a Veith Extra Prima, Araya 16'' rim, will also clean up well.
-Chainguard: No cracks, a bit shaded but in overall really good condition.
What's been done:
Some cracks were present around the tube and plate area and has been fixed:
**On a side note, those cracks were probably cause by a lack of welding on the upper part connecting the plate to the head tube, lack that was revised on later model.
Frame has been repainted with a close match mixed step by step since I couldn't scan the paint:
That's all for now! Will post more soon, with less spoilers hopefully!
