Ok so I'm not as crazy as I thought. I get its a beer company but I see no reason it can't be family friendly.

There's always great events going on sponsored by beer & liquor companies. That doesn't mean they can't be family friendly. Some may choose to not go because of moral and/or faith beliefs. Some probably shouldn't go to an alcoholic beverage sponsored event so it does stay family friendly..... I don't drink and I don't plan to support the company, but I will support the activity.

I just need to put Durham, NC on my calendar this year and go, plan everything else around it, especially if it could eventually be cut, I'd hate to say "I'll just go in 2015" and then they cancel Durham (less than 2 hours away) or worse yet, just stop doing the tour.

Anyone want to ride with me in Durham?

2014 will probably be the last year in Durham due to the new brewery in Asheville and the loss of the current venue later in the year.

However, it will be one BIG blast!

The Tour de Fat is very much open to children of all ages. It is a very family friendly event.
