Some updates:
I have been getting a bunch of parts in and trying to complete the look. As I said in my first post I am going for a drag look so I want a big and little tire. The front is a 700C road bike wheel/tire combo and the rear is a cheap cruiser tire that has an old school pie-crust looking sidewall and a flatter surface. It's no Jerald Sulky but it will work for now.

Quick mock up before primer. The forks and bars will be changed but you get an idea.

Pulled apart and on my tried and true bunford 9000 frame sprayer jig ;)

It is primed and will be painted tomorrow. I have what I hope will be a very cool color planned out so stay tuned!
I'm going to have to go back on my anxiety medicine....HOW IN THE HECK does anyone choose 3 BIKES to vote for in this BO-X ?!!:13:

I was thinking that was the original Shelby Mustang color but wasn't 100%. Thank you.

That color really looks killer with the black.
Thank you! My friend checked it out today and was really digging it. He said it is definitely shifting colors.

Today I finally got my stems from around the world and finished my bars! I used some short stems to act as clip-ons for that drag bike look.

Cut up some bars

The stems were meant for 1" bars so I trimmed some thin sheet metal to wrap around the bars and take up the space which worked great for the 7/8"

So what do you think about the bars? The bike probably wont be too comfy to ride but will look cool as hell.
In other news, I set my small seat on the bike and like what I see. I won't use it due to how close I would sit to the crank. My knees would be in my face lol. I just love how the diamonds match the tire.

Looks uncomfortable as all get out, like the bars but the seat should definitely sit higher for them or bars should be higher for the seat.

Just one opinion

The banana seat I am using will put me on top of the tire which may just give me enough space. I won't know until I get the seat goes on. Regardless, it won't get ridden far but lots of short trips most likely.

Progress! Today I fabbed up my seat post and was able to actually sit on the bike!
My post is designed to extend rearward to keep the seat nose low and rearward where I wanted it. I wouldn't mount a traditional seat on this in fear it would break but since most of the load of a banana seat is by the rear tubes I think this will work great. I used the original post and chopped/grinded/welded/drilled as needed.

Mounted! Keep in mind the rear bar will be modified to "fit" the bike better

Now, for my next dilemma....sprockets..
I want a sprocket that screams "muscle car" and don't feel like buying one or using any of the ones that I have pulled off already. I do have one in my possession that I intend to use that is 100% perfect for the look. Unfortunately is is on my tandem lol. I plan to use it and replace it with a crusty sprocket of the same size to keep the bike rideable. Problem solved.
I also thought about using my sweet heart sprocket but the star won.

Hopefully this weekend the rain will stop so I can paint a bunch of stuff.

Those are cool! Would be interesting to see how they look mounted at the very top and facing towards you. Might need some longer tubes. I think you could make it comfy and cool.

I hope the weather cooperates with you, I've been waiting for the rain to stop for quite a while myself.
Bike looks good tho, can't wait to see it finished.

Looking really good! Love the black with that white. I've heard of that Wimbledon white somewhere. Awesome color.
Chad T, as a former tennis player on teams in the early 70's, our togs were that color; not bright white but Wimbledon White. The shorts in this picture were "team issue" Wimbledon white; the shirts were not. And...I can't believe I just posted a pic of ten-nis guys (me in foreground, brother in back) on ten speeds in BO-ten....

I will probably try a few positions and can hopefully find that cool/comfy balance. We will see

I like the slammed nanner with the drag bars.
