So I decided to pick up a 1986 mongoose atb from a buddy. My plan was a simple large 26" bmx cruiser styled loosely around the mongoose Californian and the Kos cruiser. I'm still in the waiting phase for my blue dia comp brake levers and porkchop chopsaw and pedals but its mocked up and rideable now.... Sorry for the phone pics, ill use the camera on the finished product.

So I don't have many before pics but here is the original ad..

I have since changed the brake cables to blue, installed the rear brakes and its pedaled and chained and ready to road test.... I'm hoping to put a few more parts on and maybe change the seat today and ill take a few pics. Let me know what you think.

Worked on the spruce goose a bit today. Added black ops brake levers and put all new components on the brake lines and sheath. Also put on some blue grip donuts and dialed everything in. So far it rides fast and is really fun...

That thing is killer nice job I've been on the hunt for one of these for a few years Hard to come by at a decent price

I put a 42t blue anodized chainwheel on the front that looks sweet. Im running 16t in the rear so it's slower to start but really hauls when at speed.

Woo Wee, that thing is clean! Nice job man! 8)

Really just to save your hands a bit as well as provide a bit of extra cushion... And they look cool... I've been putting them on since the late eighties
