" Harley Earl strikes again! The huge Evans Products Company (of Plymouth, Michigan) bought out the bicycle division of the Colson Corporation in 1954 and revamped the entire line.
To handle the job, Evans contracted with Harley Earl (GM's head of styling then) to give a new look to the bicycles. Earl did a masterful job in breathing new life into what was a fairly old design parameter by that time. "National Bicycle History Archive of America
A perfect example of how apes can totally enhance an old frame style (and riding position) toward something laid back and fun to ride. Nice looking bike!
