I've been wanting a Stingray built BMX style for a while, after a while of searching I decided that I was going to build one myself, luckily I had a '73 frame hanging from the rafters of my shed. I wanted it to have a survivor feel, so that's why it's not all cleaned up. The finish on the frame is all original, complete with a bike registration sticker from 1978. The bars are off a Scrambler, as are the wheels and crank. The chain wheel and pedals are original to the Stingray. The mags are early Schwinn unstamped Tuffs. The grips are Hunt Wildes. The hardest part to find was the Schwinn loaf seat, I bought a Huffy Mono Shock just to rob that seat off of it. The stem and fork are Ashtabula. It needs a few little things, a chain for one, as you can see this one is sagging and old. I'm not going to say it is 100% period correct, but for right now I'm happy with it.
