I usually ride a brooks on my road bikes and they have never given me an ounce of discomfort. The down side is they are expensive thief bait that will be destroyed if you happen to leave it outside when it rains. I have yet to find a saddle as comfortable as a brooks. Is there such an animal? I got close once with a bell saddle from squal mart but they don't make it anymore. So far, any vintage mattress saddles I've tried are a bust. Does anyone have the secret to a comfortable tushy?

There is actually is a reason to wear biker shorts. But, a broken in Brooks is hard to beat.

I don't ride my Brooks without something to cover it. Usually, i just go with a recycled shopping bag over the saddle and tied around the seatpost:

In the past, I've rocked the saddle shower cap...

For deterring thieves, you might want to chain it to the frame using a drive chain....

I wear a liner but I don't tell anyone. I don't want to lose my street cred
yeah, no one needs to know what you have on under that pair of Overhalls! Listen to the vintage bike saddle riders complain after a mile or two, and keep on pedaling. Har!

Oh GOOD! I was worried Riders Shorts would lose me some Points here. Im glad its at least mildly acceptable. I wouldnt ride with them outside the fact for some reason, I dont get enough going to the south end of me, Making even my plush Schwinn seat uncomfortable on the Tailbone. Are those Padded Riders relatively well priced?

My favorite so far is the avenir. It has the quilted top, nice foam, the hairpin looking spring on the front and double coils on the back. The plastic pan has a web of springs right in the center too. I think it looks kind of funky but is super comfy. I really like the seat on my sparker special, but man is that thing noisey.

I bought one of these last spring (from different merchant) and I really like it.
Mine is heavy stamped metal pan and just the right amount of padding - looks cool too. this is sold by Colorado springs bike shop on ebay

And a picture on my Schwinn...

Also looks like Niagara Cycle has the same seat in 5 colors for $35 and free ship with $100 order.
