I like the straight post looks good, Now you got me thinkin about doin one up like that, i think it would be cool not to have a seat post clamp. What the heck is that frame anyway? I dont think i have seen one like that.

I'm sure they are all brazed . I dont know if the had steel welding that early in the bike frame business. I dont really know though. The bikes are kinda hard to find.

Don't know if it's the seat or seat post that I'm not fond of. The seat post is cool but maybe a little too angular for this bike. A slightly curved one would be nice. It might help if the seat clamp was flipped the other way (up in the seat) so the seat would set lower on the post. Bike looks great though.
I like the 'Y" post. It might look better if the seat clamp were flipped upside down to lower the seat and get the nose closer to the top of the seat post. Just an idea.
