Lol, I bought a pair of 26 tires like that years ago because this price was so good. I still haven't put them on anything, I can't bring myself to run something that skinny! Maybe Duck Norris will get the speedster treatment
It isn't as skinny as the ad picture. They have it for taller wheels. I think that is what the ad is showing.

It’s kind of crazy to think that something could be almost an antique, and it was made when I was already old enough to be skipping school.

There was a contestant on jeopardy recently who was talking about their collection of classic movies and music, how quaint it was to hold those old physical storage formats. They were CDs, DVDs and Blu-rays. Turn of the century is ancient now

📀 Ugh, I feel even older. "This is the way."

A few updates. It is really getting where I want it.
Found this Mesinger saddle and like it better than the Persons.

Updated the stem. Purchased a 21.1 quill to 1 1/8" unthreaded adapter and chose one of two Mtb. bike stems I have removed from discarded bikes I found. One was a Power Tools 125mm stem from a KHS, the other a 100mm stem with four bolt clamp and +- 7 degrees angle. I went with that 100mm one. I cleaned the black logo off of the KHS with acetone.

When this switch was made I wondered what it would do. Articles I read said it would take twitchiness out and slow the steering down a little. I hadn't noticed any problem but I liked the look. It does turn smooth with the 100mm stem. Also added some very swept back cruiser bars. There is a lot more room in the cockpit now and it givers me my preferred vertical posture.

Also changed the steel chrome wheels for aluminum 26" x 1.75 units. Up front the inverted V rim looks narrower and really suits the slim front rubber. I think the flat rim in the back makes the 2.125 slick stand out.

Tried the 9" rise min-apes again. They are twitchy and I just don't think I like the look.

Here is where it is at right now and I'm really happy. It is the quickest, best handling bike I own out of 9 bikes. Also went to a 20T rear cog so it is 46x20 now. Not too spinny, but quick and agile.

I will change the bars and try it back on the dirt soon. I like having the option of off road.
